Love lives here

Morning all and thanks for stopping. Quick post as I am headed for your blogs and then a dinner with friends to celebrate her birthday. The card is for her. Her and her hubby rescues Macaws. They have 4 now and love their birds. When the Sil store offered this from Quietfire, I immediately thought of her. Looks a little plain as her birds are bright colors but I still like it.

Have a Wonderful and Happy day!

Believe

Morning all. Hope your day is starting off perfect!

I did this card this morning. Another creative blogger had blogged a version of this and I remembered I had the Silhouette file. I love how this turned out and hope you do too. I stamped Believe instead of using the Thanks cutout that came with the file. I used glossy accents to outline the word and then the top of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Joy Stampin up

Morning all and thank you for stopping. Today I have a card I bought from the Silhouette store. It was suppose to have a photo in the center but instead I used a stampin up image I had purchased and never used. I then added my beloved "Stickles" to add the snow effect. I used double sided adhesive paper to cut the snowflake and used blue glitter. I then added Glossy accents to the tab and Joy cutouts.

Have a marvelous day! Hubby taking me out for steak for our 19th anniversary tonight so I have to get the housework done.

Christmas tree

Morning all. Thanks to everyone for stopping. A little rant and then on to better days.

As many of you know I started a journey of non smoking about 95 days ago. I also quit a very good job to take care of my Mother-in-law when she had her stroke. That was 4 years ago. The reason I have not updated in a few days is the fact that she lives in our house and told me that I needed to leave and that her family came before me...other words, I am not considered family by her. (Not the first time that she has intentionally hurt me). This all because my sister-in-law decided to work instead of being here with my dogs while I took her mom to the doctor and then lied to me about it. She volunteered and said it was her week to work that day. They seem to think that my non smoking is the problem! With that being said, I did not give in and start smoking again. I actually think that it made me stronger on quitting. My hubby is not happy with his mom at all right now. I talked him down and not to make her leave because it is the only mother he has and no matter what he would regret it when she passes. I am a big girl and can handle this.

On a high note, tomorrow is my 19th wedding anniversary. He is my soul mate. We actually really finish each others sentences and think so much alike that it is scary. I love him with all of my heart. We are going to our favorite Italian restaurant and enjoy a night of just us. We have very few of those.

I played with a starter kit from Silhouette for the double sided adhesive. I cute the tree out and used the green flocking on it. I think I have a new like! I then printed the sentiment and cut it out. I applied it to the embossed topper with pop up dots.

Now I get to have fun and catch up on all your blogs to see the wonderful things I have missed. Have a wonderful day!

Joyful Day

Morning all! We caught some storms last night. No damage around us but north has a lot of trees down and power outs.

I did this card a while back but never got to show it. It was for a friends birthday. With the weather comes the sinus problems so short post.

94 days without smoking. Yay me!

Just for you

Morning all. Thank you for stopping. Quick post and then off to visit other blogs. Hope all is well.

My brother's next appointment is not until August so they think they got all of the "C" word. That was good news for all of us. Hopefully no chemo or radiation.

Here is my card. I cut the topper with my Cameo and quilled the flower and leaves. I stamped the sentiment from one of the few stamp sets I own. As you can tell by now, simple is my favorite type of card.

flower card.

Morning all. Yucky rainy day here today so a day cleaning my craft room. I made this card yesterday but not sure if I am happy with it. I have not put a sentiment on the inside yet and thought I would say that for the occasion. I cut it out with my Cameo and then use glossy accents on the flower to stiffen it.

More Recipes

Thank you to everyone who has stopped and left such wonderful comments on my creations. You are all so sweet. The 14th starts my 89th day without smoking! It has been a long journey but I think I have it whipped now.

I scrapped 2 of my recipes yesterday that I thought I would share with you. I used my Silhouette for the cutout shapes and pieced them together for the farmers I purchased from Silhouette on the Ranch Dressing.

I used a few screen shots of files I purchased for the Meatloaf page.

Have a wonderful Day

Happy Birthday

Morning all. Busy day with MIL today. She wants to go to a local historic museum to donate a "Pasturizer" that she used on the farm. Then a local 2nd hand store to buy old blankets for our dogs and then to another store to buy bedding for her bed. At 87 years old she is going to wear me out!

Here is my card to show from yesterday. I used my Silhouette to print out the design and cut the card. I then decided to color it but did not like my results so I pulled my "Stickles" out and used them. I added some gems and I was satisfied. The sparkle made me smile.

Thanks in advance for stopping. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Gate with flowers

Good day all. Really rainy day here and gloomy. I decided to play with my silhouette with this card. Not sure about it as it looks like it needs something other than the sentiment (that I will stamp with the one I want at the time of giving) on the right.  Any thoughts appreciated!

I printed the fence on white cardstock and then colored with bic markers for the wood look. I added the quilled flowers and leaves. I then added the butterfly.  Thanks for stopping!

Coral flowers

Morning all. Waiting on the dumpster to be delivered so I can clean out the building so I thought I would post the card I finished this morning.

I used a black embossed piece of cardstock, cut the flowers from green cardstock with my silhouette and added the quilled flowers that I did last night while watching tv.

Have a wonderful day and THANKS for stopping by.

Busy busy busy

Quick post. I have been working outside for the last 3 days and have been so tired that I just drop when I come in. It is suppose to rain today so maybe I can get rested up. We got our yard landscaped where we had the pool and deck. Then we have a huge building that we used for our woodshop that was flooded so we finally got in it to start cleaning it out and getting it ready to put our woodworking equipment back in. A busy week ahead as long as the weather holds out.
Here is a Christmas card I finished. Pretty simple card.

Have a great day all. I am off to enjoy your wonderful creations and blog hop.

Cased cards

Thanks for stopping this morning. I found a card at (http://papervernissage.blogspot.com/2008/04/simple-birthday.html)  a while back and finally decided to case it. I used a background from google and used my paper crimper and added the quilled flowers and cut butterflies.

Have a wonderful day!

You make me Smile

Hope all is having a great day so far. I got up to no internet again. I am beginning to think my modem is trying to act up. I will have to do some major troubleshooting later. Right now, I wanted to get this posted and then check out all the beauties today for some inspiration since it is raining again.

I don't have anywhere to buy the sparkle medium in the US. Anyone know of a place let me know. I made my own somewhat with this one. I used white glue and ultra fine glitter and mixed to consistency to stencil. I had the stencil that someone game me so I thought I would use it. Turned out pretty good. I was playing and was not sure I could pull it off so I used a plain white card blank. I stamped the "you make me smile" after and added the gems.

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful day.

Cutout Topper

Morning all. I made the topper from the Silhouette file: leaf and flower a2 cut out card. I then added the quilled flowers with gem centers and the butterfly from my stash. It is storming here with very high winds so my internet is going in and out. I will eventually make my rounds today.

Have a wonderful day and THANKS for the visit!

Circle cards

Morning to all. Yesterday was a relly gloomy day so I spent the day inside making these. I found the pattern at http://aspoonfullofsugarcrafts.blogspot.com/p/free-silhouette-files.html. There are a few free silhouette cut files there including Winter Village (Church, house, house2 and school). Those may me my winter plays.

I used the  Geometric Circles Card and played with different colors and ways to use it. The hardest was when I decided to use the negative part on a card...Tried my patience!

Brilliant idea of using the waste...

Have a wonderful day!

Quick post this morning as my sinus problems are back full force this morning. This is a card I made for a dear friend. I used decoupage, teabag folding and quilling on this one. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for stopping.

Bird Lady

Good morning everyone. For those of you that do not know me, my son lives in Savannah Georgia. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is my favorite movie and I am pretty sure it is because I feel closer than the 13 hour drive to my son while watching the movie. Savannah is a beautiful city and so full of history that I can never get enough of it while I am visiting.

My project yesterday was to paint the "Bird Girl" that my hubby bought me a while back. We went to see the original statue but it had been relocated because people was chipping pieces off for souvenirs and the museum was closed at the time of our visit. This is a link to learn more about the movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119668/

Now we have to build the platform to place it in a corner behind my butterfly bush and get 2 artificial birds for the nest and she is ready for our front yard.

Have a safe day and thanks for the visit.
