Gift bag

Morning all. Thanks for visiting! I have had a couple of really rough days on my quit smoking journey but I successfully made it through without giving in. Today is 75 days! It seems like everything I touched went badly. I wasted a lot of vinyl making these because I kept forgetting to mirror the images and cut them before I thought. At least with the bag I did not have to worry too much.
Then my sister-in-law (who helps with my mother-in-law) developed shingles. If you don't know what these are, it is a by product of the chicken pox that hides and lays dormant until you get older and then reappears as a painful skin rash. Mom is 87 and never had the chicken pox so she is the only one who is contagious!
I did manage to get a couple of gifts made. I used heat transfer vinyl and my Silhouette to do these. All the images are Silhouette files.

Grocery bag for a lady who is always very kind to Mom when she is grocery shopping.

An apron for my sister-in-law's birthday. She puts up with a LOT from my brother...lol

Thanks for stopping and listening to my rant! Hopefully I can catch up on your blogs today!

Silhouette box

Morning all. Hope you are having a great day so far. I am showing a box I made using my Silhouette to hold some diecuts for a friend. I added a ribbon around the lower part to hold it shut. Silhouette pattern: Design ID #60019. Tutorial from designer: http://jamielanedesigns.blogspot.com/2014/05/square-gift-boxes.html

This is part of my deck that we have down so far. It was 28' x 44'. The remaining deck we still have to dismantle is 12' x 32'.

And this is what I made to be able to keep a part of the deck. Still have to repaint.

Thanks for the visit.

Sunflower card

Morning all. It is suppose to be a great beautiful day here so this is another quick post as I have a deck to tear down and a bench to build using the reclaimed wood from the deck. LOL...It will not happen in one day!

I used my silhouette to cut the lattice layer and then added it to a red glitter card blank. I decided to keep it simple with the sunflowers and a sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and for you wonderful comments on my other projects. Have a safe day!

Sunflower Just a note

Hello crafting friends. Yesterday was a tough day for me. My migraine would not go away. Finally I was able to knock this card out last night.
I used a 5" card blank. I had the printed paper left from another project. I found the ribbon at Target for $1, I had the flower background cut from another previous card and I used a quilled sunflower for the center, and used button brads for the sentiment. Hope you enjoy it.

Have a great day!

Tablet Cover

Good morning to all. This is my 64th day of not smoking! Yea me. Thank you to all for the wonderful and supportive comments during my struggle with this addiction.
Today I have a project I worked on yesterday. I needed a cover for my tablet I use for my recipes while cooking. I have a bunch of 11 x 14 picture matting pieces that I purchased 24 for $2.00 at Hobby Lobby. All you fellow crafters will see my point of "I will use those for something!". This was a good project for that. I cute using a craft knife to size to fit my tablet. I cut a piece of fabric to cover the front.

I used my crop tool to add the eyelets to run the elastic through. I added a closer flap in between the layers of tablet holder. I used 3 in 1 glue to assemble the pieces. I did add a 1/2" piece to the center and used elastic to be able to secure a stylus if I needed to.

Not sure how I am going to dress it up yet but I have a big piece of space on the inside and of course the outside.

Hope you all have a beautiful day.

Thought I would enter some challenges today:

Teabag and Quilling Birthday

Morning all. What a culture shock. The whole time we were gone the coldest was around 60 degrees. The highs were in the 90's. It was 32 this morning with frost! I want to move SOUTH! lol

Here is my show for today. I made this for a friend and was the stem was still a little wet but I wanted to show.
I used squares and folded to make the medallion. I then punched the edges. I quilled the flowers and used some purchased leaves I had laying around. I punched the border and added the white ribbon.

Have a bless and Happy Sunday.

Ready to be home

My son did not get his card from me and I could have hand delivered it. I mailed it in March. Another friend out of the states still has not received a package I sent her. Unfortunately, I did not get a tracking number on that shipment so I have no clue who got her card and special surprise. Now I know why!!! The mail carrier actually was in Pittsburgh but I am sure ours here are just as bad. I have found min in the ditch before. I never have my bills delivered to my home address. This mail carrier actually through it in a trash can.

This is the card I made for Kate that she never received. So sorry Kate. I am going to make a new one and try it again!

Thanks for stopping by.

Believe

Happy Tuesday Everyone! It is a happy day for me. My brother had his surgery yesterday and the doctor was very optimistic that he got all the cancer. Still have to wait for the pathology results but it was still good to see his doctor being positive.

I got to spend 2 days with my son and his beautiful family. My hubby helped him built a L shaped bench for their breakfast nook as a Mother's day present for my daughter-in-law. Great visit and I miss them already!

Today is my 57th day of not smoking even with all the craziness this week. I am actually proud of myself for not slipping. Really did not even want to. Thanks to everyone for your support during this journey.

Here is a card I made and truly love because of the word "Believe".

Thanks for visiting and Have a safe day.

Bride

Good morning all! So glad you could stop. My posts will be a little off this week as we are leaving for our trip tonight. I was like a kid the night before Christmas and could not sleep last night. Gonna be a LONG day!

Here is a card I made for a wedding. I used an image from Creative mind of Sylvie that I have had since 2011. Love this image for wedding cards.

Good Morning! Hope you are having a wonderful day so far. Headed out to service my car and last minute shopping.
I made this for my sister-in-law who helps with mom. She is also taking care of my Siberian while we are gone. It is a note holder favor box that I added quilled items to the front.

Hello Quilled flower

UGHHH..My internet was down on and off all weekend. Too windy to work outside so I sit with my quilling and replenished my stash. I made this one up along the way. Hope you all had a great weekend.

I am leaving Wednesday to see my family on a 9 day trip. First my older brother, then my wonderful son and his family, then my younger brother (for his surgery) and then believe it or not, an ex sister-in-law whom I love dearly. She is still my family. Here is the funny thing, I am packed! I just cannot wait.

My 49th day of NO SMOKING! yeah!

More Recipe cards

Good evening. My internet has been out since 3am and I did not realize how much I depend on it! I know I reached for my laptop a dozen times knowing it was still off! It just came back up so I am playing major catch up.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers yesterday for Mom. She came through with flying colors and this pacemaker should last 10 years.

Here is my recipes I scrapped. I have 4 total now. I think I am hooked!

I used Silhouette to cut out most of this one. I used glossy accents on the butterflies. I painted the hills as it still looked plain to me.
This one is on shiny card stock. Kinda plain but love the pigs.

Have a wonderful evening.

Tartar Sauce Scrapped

Morning all. Prayers today as Mom is having her pacemaker replaced. Should be an in and out same day but she is 87 so we still worry.

I scrapped another recipe last night. I used files from the Silhouette store to do this.

Have a blessed day.
