Sympathy

Happy Mother's Day to all my UK bloggers! Hope it is the best one yet.

Quick post and then off to buy a new Keurig. Mine decided it did not want to live here anymore and conked out on me. I guess the card could go in the recycle box with the Keurig!

I quilled the flower in peach and orchid colors. I had a piece of white cardstock that was already embossed and then I found a piece of pink to match in my scraps. I added the ribbon to hide the seams. I inked the edges of the sentiment with Silver pigment ink pad.

Have a Beautiful and safe day!
ps...starting my 13th day without smoking...yeah me!!

Birthday Trellis

I got a birthday present a little early (birthday is not until next month) from my sister-in-law and mother-in-law.

I had to try it out so this is what I came up with.

Off to spend the day with hubby. Have a good weekend!

Sassy in Red

Morning all. Today I am starting my 9th day of not smoking. I now have a calendar that I am marking off. I only slipped up once during the 8 days so after 40 years of the habit, not bad. It is getting easier plus I have an amazing support network with my fellow crafters. Thank everyone for your words of encouragement and support.

Today's card is the Sassy Showgirl I did in red. I used an embossed 4x5 background on an 5 x 8 card. I added a flower I made with my Silhouette and ribbon from my stash. I inked the edge of the sentiment to match the red in the image.

Thanks in advance for all your amazing comments.

Just a Note

Morning all. Well I made it 7 days and counting. Thanks to a wonderful person who sent me a card I made it through yesterday. I agree with the person who said they would never start again because it is the hardest thing they had ever done to quit smoking. My kitchen cabinets are now completely painted and I am contemplating a vinyl design to add to a spot I had painted flowers on before. Enough about my day.

My cards are Just a note cards with Stampin' up Petite petals stamps. My SIL brought me samples when she came to visit to add to my stash until I get mine. She had read that I love the stamps on Kate's card and surprised me. I embossed the backgrounds of both. Of course that is my siberian on the screen and her odd sleeping position.

Bathroom

This is what I put on my bathroom walls. I have an old house and the bathroom is between 2 bedrooms. I put one set on each side so you see them as you leave. I hand painted the border when we repainted the bathroom.

I quilled the birds and then used triple thick gloss to coat them and used 631 vinyl to make the limbs.

Quilled tree card

Morning all. Thank everyone for the continuous support I am getting for quitting smoking. I will say that this is the hardest thing I have ever done! Still need prayers for my brother. He had a bunch of test run Friday but no results until April 2.

I quilled most of the day Sunday. This is my end project for a card. I cut the bench, lamp post and corners with my Silhouette.

Have a safe day.

WelcomeHome

Hello everyone. Made it through another day! The urges are becoming less frequent but my husband is a great help. He took me to JoAnn's shopping! This is my goodies. He is so good to me!

I decided to use a page from the pad I got today and a sketch at Sketch and Stash. The image is Robyn Fetish. I printed the sentiment in Silhouette and then sponged it with gold ink.

Quilled flowers

Good morning all. Yesterday was a tough day for my no smoking adventure. So to keep my hands busy, I quilled all day. Forgot to add the leaf petals to the pic but I did a lot of those also.

Hope all have a wonderful weekend.

Birthday Pendant

Morning all! Thank you all for the support on my adventure of quitting smoking. 4 days! The headache has arrived!

For today's card, I quilled a piece and then use Triple thick gloss to coat it twice and added a O-ring. Then I found the nice overlay in the Sil store. I added it in blue glitter card stock. I used a wire to add the pendant to the center and then the sentiment.

Hope you enjoy.

Bluebird

Morning all! Thank you for all your comments and support. Quitting smoking is by the far the hardest thing that I have ever tried to do. On the upside, half of my kitchen cabinets are repainted.

I did stop long enough to make a quick card. I used Sweet and Sassy Bluebird. For the background I seen the technique on Pinterest to use a pencil eraser and Distress Ink to make the polka dots.

Have a safe and blessed day.

Christmas candle quilled

Morning all. Made it through my first day with only one slip up. Not going to be easy but I will do it!

Please keep my family in your prayers as my brother is going through some serious health problems (hence the slip up).

My card today is a Quilled candle and poinsettia Christmas card.

Hope you all have a safe and blessed day.

Rain

Good morning all. I have decided to quit something I have done for 40 years. Smoking. Today is my first day and so far so good. Hopefully, by the time my antsy spell is over (about 1 week) my spring cleaning will be complete. Already started on the kitchen.

I did do this card yesterday. I got all the shapes through the Sil store.

Have a happy and safe day.

Sassy Studio Designs

Good morning all. Had a fun weekend with hubby and Nascar so I am ready for the week.

Today's post is for a challenge in a Facebook group Sassy Studio Designs. I used the monthly image "Sassy Showgirl" in favorite color blue. I added some blue Stickles and buttons onto an embossed cream cardstock. My coloring is not very good but I have a good time trying.

Have a safe and blessed day.

Quick post this morning! I did this yesterday as our dryer keeps eating out socks. Hope you like it.

Angel Kisses

Late post today as the card is for my sister-in-law so I had to wait until she saw it. I used a new folder from cuttlebug for the frame. Do not remember where the image came from. Added the sentiment and flowers. She liked it.

I found this pattern at http://jeanstamps.com/stampin-up-treat-holders-candy-cane-elves-and-angel-kisses/ and had to give it a try. My sister-in-law was under the weather so I change the saying a little so I could give them out to people who are not feeling up to par.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend.

Easter bunny

Morning all. Hope you are starting off in a fabulous way!

Today's card is from a free daily file at Miss Kate's Cuttables. I love the flowers! I then purchase the bunny from the Sil store as I thought it would look good with the spring colors. It is a Miss Kate's file also. I then used my holographic embossing powder on the flowers and the bunny ears. I just wanted the sparkle. I used silver embossing powder on the hearts from the embossed background.

Okay, So I am going to plug in for a company I have ordered from twice. This is the best tape I have found so far and I ordered last night late and received an email this morning that it has shipped. Amazed at how fast they get the stuff to you and it is good quality at a good price.

Card Organizer

I have been working on this since yesterday and still I am not quite satisfied with the results. I still need to pick up some post it notes as I going to add to the empty pocket. I am going to grab some ribbon for the tags to complete them. I did the cards so the recipient can choose the occasion for the card or tag. I added some backgrounds for the labels that I had left over from my cut so they could add them to the tag if wanted. I added tape pieces to the backs for easy application.

Have a safe day!

Tree card

Morning and it is a really gloomy day here. It was a beautiful 70 degrees yesterday and today is suppose to be 41 degrees with rain, snow and wind. Better than 20 they were predicting.

Quick post today. I used a white card, embossed another piece of white. Cut out my layers and then decided to add color to the third. Using Corel, I added the color and then cut out. Stamped the trees twice and then distressed the edges. I added the ribbon at the bottom and then cut out a bow and distressed the edges before I added it.

Popup Trip

Morning all. It is suppose to be a beautiful day today but snow again tomorrow. Only in Indiana can it be 65 one day and 25 the next! Oh well, Wednesday will be a good day to sort through my craft room.

My card for today is a popup card with a few pop ups. I created the files and shared them in the links below. There are both Studio and pdf files for A2 and A4. I then went through my Silhouette files and found some embellishments I could print and cut to add to the card. I added the same to the front with an embossed background, washi tape and bling in the corners. Hope you enjoy it.

Tulip Easter and Sympathy

Good morning all. Hope you had a great weekend! This time changing business has my body all confused. Hate losing that hour in the spring but at least it means spring is near.

Today's cards I made using a Silhouette America template. It is called Tulip Thanks and is Design ID #56366. I changed the word from Thanks to Happy Easter. I hate to discard anything so I took the cut out and made a Sympathy card.

I used my fiskars corner punch on the template after I cut it out. Placed it on Yellow card stock. I glued the cutout piece to a white base that I had previously printed With Sympathy. Then I used yellow Stickles on the tulips.

Have a safe day!

Easel Box

I spent most of the day with my hubby and he even went to Hobby Lobby with me!

Today project is an Easel Box Birthday box. I used a tutorial from http://apathofpaper.blogspot.com/2010/08/4-drawer-easel-card-for-h2h.html and the image if from http://prettifulthings.com/parchment-craft/free-parchment-patterns/. I then stamped the "with Love" from a clear stamp I had and added the foam back to make a stopper. I used a doily for the backing of the image. I added 2 butterflies to the stopper area. I used some plastic butterflies I had in my stash as the knobs. I cut 2 paper clips in half and used to attach to the drawers through holes I punched and then folded them back. 4 drawer total.

Hope you enjoy.

Floral Stencil Font

Good Morning all! Going to be a fabulous Saturday and spending the rest of the day with my wonderful hubby.

Today's cards I made using a font. It is called Floral Stencil font and can be found on Dafont for free here. The font comes with a word document that shows what each letter will produce. Handy huh!

The first card is a Mother's Day card. I used the "." to make the rose stencil. I did the wording in "stencil" font. Added Red Vellum on the inside back and then quilled a rose with a piece of the vellum. Added the quilled leaves and bow.

I would like to enter this one into:

The second card I used the "H" in the stencil font. Added a piece of red vellum behind the rose. Used a Fiskars punch for the corners. I added the side piece with punch flowers and ribbon and Thinking of you on the label. Did not have a stamp so I hand wrote the sentiment. The pink blink hides the blunt ends of the label.

I would like to enter this card into the challenge at:

Hope everyone has a safe and blessed Weekend!

Two Stampin cards

Morning all! Hope it is a great day. I received these cute cutouts from a friend who has a lot of stamps. I don't and my coloring skills sucks. I think she is trying to force me to color! lol So I went online and found a couple of layouts I liked and these are the end results.

Birthday Fanned Flower

Good Morning!

Found this on http://cards--galore.blogspot.com/2014/03/fanned-flower-card.html and Debbi did an excellent job of describing how to assemble. I had already purchased from the Silhouette store (Design ID #24757) but had not tried it. With Debbi's perfect flower I had to try.

Since I am going to hand deliver to my friend, I added 3 flowers from the same design to the front of the envelope to match the one on the card. I used Yellow thin cardstock to make the envelope and it matched the button I used on the center of the flower.

Thanks to everyone who visits my blogs and leaves such wonderful comments! It is much appreciated.

Expecting

My sister wanted a card for a friend that is expecting their first child. I found this puppy in a basket easel card free download at http://www.card-making-downloads.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=44_35&products_id=3913

I printed the topper on glossy paper and added 3 of the layers with dots. I added the "Sweet Expectations" as the sentiment for the stopper.

Hope you like it.

Flower Note Card

Morning all. Well we are in for a heat wave! 35 degrees today. So ready for Spring.

My card today is a Note card that I used cutouts that I had extra from a previous project, a crochet flower with a felt button center. I made the background by cutting the stencil from acetate from my Cameo and then sponging brown onto the card for a brick look.

Hope you enjoy!

Happy Birthday Quilled

Good morning all. Snowed in AGAIN! I cannot wait till I can wake up and not worry about snow. Okay, enough of my whinning.

Today's card is a Happy Birthday card. I have a lot coming up so I went clean and simple. Plus I am entering the card into a challenge blog at http://www.thecraftingcafe.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/march-challenge-clean-and-simple.html where the challenge is clean and simple.

I quilled the flowers and leaves. Printed the Happy Birthday on the card blank. Thought it still needed something else and none of my embossing folders matched what I wanted so I made this one the old fashion way. I drug out my scoring board and did 1/2" straight lines and then turn to a diamond shape and scored 1/2" lines from side to side. Added the string and bow. Then a little bling.

Quilled Tulip

Good morning! I am soooo ready for Spring! Have about 1/2" of ice on the ground when I woke up this morning and now for the snow! It was beautiful and 50 degrees yesterday. Suppose to get another 5" today of the white stuff and cold all week. Sounds like a good craft week for me!

Today's post is a Simple Get Well Card. I used Sixxix folder to emboss, added 3 tulips and then added the ribbon on top of bottom of embossed piece.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Sympathy and Best Wishes

Good morning all. Looks like we are getting another winter storm tonight and tomorrow. Forecasting another 6 - 10 inches. I am really disliking Indiana right now. I have cabin fever so bad that trips to Lowe's excite me!

On to my cards. I made a couple of simple cards.

I quilled the cross and rose, added washi tape, dove (still wet from the glossy accents) and some bling for color.

I got the design from the Silhouette store. I used my quilling paper at the top and bottom, added the bling and then decided to add a quilled flower to the center.

Hope everyone has a safe and warm weekend.
