Thank you everyone who entered to win the Washington Rose from The Kraft Shak!

This was my project for Thursday. We went to Lowes and picked up the shelf brackets and a 5 1/2" wide board. Hubby cut it to 24 inch length. I stained them and then he showed me how to put them up level...yeah! got to use power tools! I had done the spice jars about 2 weeks ago and now they are displayed nicely with my measuring utensils.

Tulip Card

I had a very productive day yesterday! I am so proud of myself...lol

The Tulip Card I purchased from the Silhouette store. I did the back of the cutout with blue vinyl. Inked the yellow pedals with Red to give it some definition and added the printed Happy Birthday. Still 2 plain so I added 2 butterflies I had in my stash from previous printouts.

I did these for our friends kids. The boys are twins and getting ready for baseball. I did the red stripes on a painted 1 1/2 inch round wood, added their names and then a cord to hang from their gear bags. Kaylin is a teenager so I decided for the heart.

The next project was just a fun one. A pic of one of these came across my page and it is totally me! Just ask my family.

And finally, I did these for my sister. I have a set in my fridge.

Have a safe and blessed day! The winner of the Washington Rose will be announced Friday!

New home coupon holder

Good morning all! Today's card is for my brother who decided to move 4 hours away! He used to come every Sunday for coffee so I really miss him! The coupons are ones I usually hand him when they mail them to me so I decided to do it in a card.

Check out her blog for hundreds of great free images. I used the background "vintage Hawaii" from the Silhouette store for the paper. I cut the flowers and image backing from glitter cardstock and added 2 rows of ribbon.

Hope you enjoy! Have a safe and blessed day!

Hidden Message Card 2

Good morning all! Today I have a different type of Hidden Message card. I found this first on Pinterest and with a little research found the tutorial on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-rrgsMvejM

I was a little scared of this one. I don't have many stamps so I printed the design from the Silhouette Store and colored with my Stickles. I did the same for the center layout and Hidden Message. I then had to cut the designs on the fold lines to make it work. A little bulky but it is for my hubby's lunch box so he won't mine. I used a magnet to close the card under the tab Love.

Hope you enjoy. Have a great and blessed day.

Easter Candy Kiss tree

Don't forget to check out the Washington Rose post for a chance to win the cut file from The Kraft Shak.

Good morning all! Rude awakening this morning. My 70 pound Siberian Husky had an epileptic seizure this morning. All you can do is try to sit close to them so she do not hurt herself.  She kick the wall pretty hard a couple of times but it did not last long this time. Now she is waiting for my MIL to get up so she can sleep next to her! Okay, enough of my ramblings and on to my project yesterday.

I found this wonderful tutorial at http://qbeesquest.blogspot.com/2011/11/3d-hersheys-kisses-christmas-tree.html. Decided to do it for Easter. I am going to buy some of the Easter colored kisses when I get out.

Hope you ennjoy. It was fun to make and there are a lot of good tutorials on her blog.

Spring Blocks Card

Good Morning! Getting ready for another cold day here in Indiana. Dreaming of Spring! That is probably how my card came about yesterday!

I decided to do a blocks card. I did not decorate it to look like blocks but you can see on the videos that it is a cool card. I used long strips so it looks like the side of a stairway. Folds flat and fits into the box. I am sending to my granddaughter and putting a candy bar that she can use to hold the card in position or eat.

I created a Silhouette cut file to make both the card and box. Download HERE

I used DCW cardstock and decorated pad for this project. I did print and cuts for the decorations on the card.

Hope you all enjoy! Have a blessed Sunday!

Happy Birthday hidden message

My card today is a Hidden message behind the pull tab. Someone seen one and I created the file so I could make it. This is a Studio file to use with Silhouette or Cameo. Message Tear Away

Add glue where the pencil marks are being careful not to get the glue on the tear off tab.

This is what it will look like when they tear off the tab.

This is my finished card. I added the quilled flower, butterflies, washy tape and bling.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a safe and blessed day.

First time HTV

First of all I am a HUGE Nascar fan. I yell at the drivers as much as I do the football players during football season. LOL...my hubby just laughs at me. I am sure he is thinking "You know they can't hear you". That being said this weekend was the kickoff for Nascar. Great race! My crafting was limited.

I decided to try my hand at HTV and it took a whole weekend for me to get it right. Here is my finished products.

Hope you have a wonderful and bless day.

I used a tutorial from you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU9b2aIy2-M. I added a quilled flower to the center.

Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday.

Anniversary card

Good Morning. Today's post is an anniversary card. I was blog hopping yesterday and seen the technique for the scratch off from Martha Stewart.

  1. Stick strips of clear packing tape to the shiny side of freezer paper.
  2. Mix two parts metallic paint with one part liquid dishwashing soap.
  3. Apply three or more light coats of paint mixture to the packing tape with a foam brush, letting dry between coats, until the color is opaque. Let dry completely, overnight if necessary.
I did not have the clear packing tape so I cut a piece of clear acetate and used that.

I added the penny so he would have the convenience to scratch off.

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a safe and blessed day.

Pop up Flower Get Well card

Good morning all. Praying for my friends in the south to stay safe and warm. A lot of snow and ice in Georgia and surrounding areas.

Today's card came from a tutorial at http://qbeesquest.blogspot.com/2011/03/flower-box-pop-up-card.html, Hers looks so much better than mine but I wanted to try it. Wonderful tutorial.

I want to thank everyone for the beautiful comments over the past few days.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Carton Wallet

I found this carton wallet (http://spoonful.com/crafts/carton-wallet) while blogging today. It was made from a recycled juice carton. I did not have one so I made one from cardstock.

First I used a 16 oz water bottle and cut the top off including lid.

I downloaded the pdf from from the site (http://spoonful.com/crafts/carton-wallet) and converted to svg. I then used Silhouette to combine the file to fit on a 12x12 piece of thick cardstock. (Darice Premium cardstock).

I was eating chocolate kisses at the time and decided to decorate for valentines and used the Kisses paper from the candy instead of washy tape.

Hope you enjoy.

College Bound

Yesterdays project was a popout card. I decided to do a college bound card to get ready for graduations coming up.

I found this on Pinterest and decided I wanted to try it. The original post is HERE for those who do not have a Silhouette or want to cut by hand. The measurements are in cm and I am not good with that so I made it to fit an A9 envolope (Large card envelope) so I could put the detail I wanted. The Silhouette file down is at the bottom of the post. I used a bunch of screenshots from Silhouette studio library and made them print and cut so the card would not be bulky inside.

Have a good day and God Bless.

Gazebo Card

Good morning all. Here is my card for the day. It is a copy of a pattern I found on https://www.card-making-downloads.com/ and really liked. I wanted a file that I could use instead of butterflies. I created in my Silhouette software. It is not perfect but I still like it for something different.

Have a wonderful day and God Bless.

Link fro the Studio file. Studio file

The tutorial from Card-makingdownloads is here. You will have to add to cart and maybe signup. They have a lot of good free items. You can also get the decoupage pages to match the tutorial. I downloaded the blossums and butterflies for free.

Drink Station

Good morning all. Today's post is my drink station. We use packets of each so I decided to put them in one place.
I created the boxes in Silhouette and then decided they needed windows and doors. Easier to create than I thought. Then what is a store front without flower boxes. I was having so much fun creating the stuff that I forgot to go to bed until 2am. I needed the vellum to do the windows and doors and I did not want to wake up my hubby so I went to bed. I bought a pack of solid 11x14" solid matting boards at Micheals and decided to use that as a backdrop and glued the buildings to it. I googled the trees and cut them out. Added "Drink Station". This will stand by itself. I used heavy cardstock so I could hang it if I decide to. The awnings flip up to fill.

I have seen a few of these cascading cards on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try today. Here is my project. I used a tutorial from http://www.jansstampingcreations.com/2012/04/cascading-card-tutorial.html

Hope you enjoy, God bless and have a wonderful day.
